For people in Florida, one of the worst possible things that can happen is to have a loved one involved in an accident. These accidents can happy at any time in a variety of ways. A common way in which people are hurt and killed is in motor vehicle accidents. While most drivers operate their vehicles safely and within the rules of the road, there is a constant risk that a fatal car crash will occur. If there is an accident, it’s important for the family to know what to do in its aftermath.

A 3-car crash led to the death of a 16-year-old and injured numerous others. A Ford pickup truck was waiting to turn into a festival site when it was rear-ended by a Chevy pickup. After it was hit, the Ford spun directly in front of a Pontiac. It hit the Pontiac and its momentum sent it into a rock and a power pole on the shoulder of the road. The Pontiac ended up in a ditch. The 16-year-old was a passenger in the backseat of the Pontiac. The driver, age 39, and a 9-year-old in the front passenger seat were hospitalized and said to be in serious condition. The 67-year-old driver of the Chevy was also in serious condition. The 32-year-old driver of the Ford had minor injuries.

When there is a wrongful death, the family left behind needs to understand how to deal with everything accompanying such a tragic and unforeseen occurrence. If the person who died was the breadwinner in the household, the family will have to find a way to make ends meet. A beloved grandparent, stay-at-home mother or young person who was just starting out in his or her life will also be severely missed. Insurance companies might act concerned after a fatal car crash, but they also have to adhere to the bottom line. A legal filing has the potential of costing them a large amount of money in an award. Accepting a settlement offer early in the process is generally a mistake.

In this case, a teenager died and numerous people were hurt after a pickup truck rear-ended another pickup truck and started a chain reaction of crashes. Given the consequences of this fatal accident, it’s important that the family of the deceased person and those that were injured discuss pursuing compensation with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
